City of Portland boundaries are referenced directly from PortlandMaps. The neighborhood view uses Neighborhood (layer 45) and Portland City Boundary (58) in BDS Layers. The safety view uses Police Districts (6) and Fire Management Areas (1) in Public Safety Boundaries, alongside the same BDS city boundary. Boundaries are styled for readability. Geometry is returned in longitude and latitude for display; no response-time analysis is performed.

A boundary is not an outcome
Police districts and fire management areas are administrative geographies. They do not show staffing, available units, travel time, or the full 911 service region. A nearby station does not establish how quickly help will arrive. Neighborhood boundaries can overlap, and neighborhood identity extends beyond official outlines.
Attribution and reuse
“Built by Kaitlin” identifies my map composition or research, not ownership of underlying public records. “External resource” identifies work by someone else. Source data keep their own terms. Linking does not transfer a license or imply endorsement. No third-party work is hosted through the community contribution program.
Freshness and corrections
The directory was checked on September 14, 2026. Map layers load from their publishers when opened. A successful retrieval does not establish the underlying observation date. Unknown dates remain unknown. Corrected claims should retain their previous value, source, reason, and correction date.

Map and source providers receive ordinary web requests when their content loads. Corrections sent by email are handled in Kaitlin’s inbox. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.
