About the Porch

I keep finding things worth mapping.

A road changes. A number raises a question. There’s something useful around the corner that would be easier to find on a map.

The Portland Porch is where I put that work. I’m Kaitlin Quinn, a Portland resident following questions about the place I live. Sometimes they become investigations. Sometimes they become a small, useful map.

Keep the source close

Each entry names its creator, sources, coverage, and limits. A source check is a check of access and metadata; it is not a guarantee that every feature is current.

The Porch is independent research and mapping, not an official City or agency service.

Bring something to the porch

Eventually, there may be room here for finished maps from other Portland residents and groups. Community submissions and hosting are not open yet.
